Add advanced user

Follow the steps Advanced users can be created in CrewBriefing.
These specific users have locked access to displayed flights or defaults values. This is especially useful for Flight Service Providers who need to create individual customer logons to CrewBriefing.

In the example below we will use the following user requirements as a template:

  • This pilot only needs to have personal flights listed.
  • This pilot should always have Next 24 hours displayed as default.
  • This pilot should have up to 40 flights per page displayed as default.
  • This pilot should have no admin rights, only user rights.

1: Create user
Create a normal user as depicted in above section Add new user. When selecting user rights, tick the box User Administration Rights.

2: Log Out
Log out of CrewBriefing and log in again with the newly created user

3: Define user settings
Enter User default settings and update the wanted standard values. In our case we select Next 24 Hrs, 40 Flight per page and Crew code as flight search text category to only display flights related to the user.

When done, click Save to save the settings.

4: Log Out again
Log out of CrewBriefing and log in with a user that have User administrative rights.

5: Edit existing user
Enter the Administrations section and select the newly created advanced user in the Edit existing user drop-down menu.

6: Remove administrative rights.
Remove any administrative rights and other rights not to be connected to the user. Save the changes by clicking OK. The advanced user based on the above criteria is now created.
