Reduced Contingency Fuel (RCF)
When the calculation for the main routing has been completed, then Reduced Contingency Fuel (RCF) can be specified. The RCF button should be clicked and information entered into the RCF Options.

DEST2:
The RCF airport that the user has designated.
This can also be manually entered.
Decision Point (DP):
This is automatically determined by PPS X and displayed on the Mini-map as the icon. This can be changed manually by the user.
ATC Route (upper field):
The DP to DEST2 routing. This can be changed manually by the user. It is mandatory to have information in this field.
DEST2 ALTN: The ALTN airport for DEST2.
ATC Route (lower field): The routing from DEST2 to the DEST2 ALTN. This can be changed manually by the user. It is mandatory to have information in this field.
The data above will be used when calculating RCF CALC2 (see below for CALC2 definition) i.e. DEP to DEST2. The user will need to click Apply after entering data to initiate the calculation.
When conducting RCF planning then 2 calculations are performed:
- CALC1 (DEP to DEST) via DP:
The normal fuel planning calculation, but Contingency Fuel is reduced to 5% of the (remaining) Trip Fuel DP to DEST. - CALC2 (DEP to DEST2) via DP:
The normal fuel planning calculation but the route does not end at the intended DEST, the route ends at DEST2.
Decision point
Once the calculation has been made the decision point along with the DEST2 and DEST2 Alternate can be seen displayed on the map.
