OpsControl and AirportWatch updates

Two new columns, ATA / ATD, have been introduced to the OpsControl Flight List.
The columns contain data related to the actual departure- and arrival times for the specific flights. 

The VTS Weather layer in FlightWatch is now labeled as TC & VA and the data will now be visible for all flight levels. 

The postflight UI have been updated to match the rest of the platform.
All the main functions are similar to previous versions of OpsControl.

A setting has been introduced to make it possible to toggle the visibility of the SNOWTAM indication in the flight list. See section 6.3.2 in the OpsControl Manual.

An icon have been added to the flight list to indicate if an active SNOWTAM is
available for the specific airport. See section 3.1.2 in the OpsControl Manual.

Bug Fix where Runways could not be edited in Runway2Runway

Users should read the following subjects and sections of the 1.14.3 manual:

Introduces User Definable Route Deviation Threshold distance settings.
   • Section 5.3 has been amended to include the new feature.
   • Section 5.3.1 has been added to explain the feature.
   • Section 5.3.2 has been updated to remove the limitation for ‘Configured route deviation limit’. This parameter now functions correctly.
   • Section 5.3.2 has been updated to remove the previous fixed 45NM threshold.

Amends the Abnormal Decent Rate detection by increasing the threshold to 3000 ft/min to reduce the number of false alarms.
   • Sections 5.4.1 to 5.4.4 have been amended to remove the previous 2500 ft/min and increase it to 3000 ft/min.
   • Section 5.4.6 has been amended to remove the previous 2500 ft/min and increase it to 3000 ft/min.

Amends the calculation for Altitude Deviation detection by expanding the DEST circle (region that detection stops) to reduce the number of false alarms.
   • Section 5.5.1 has been amended to show the new calculation for the radius of the DEST circle is (Cruise Level / 1000) *4.
   • Previously, the calculation was (Cruise Level / 1000) *3.

The Flight Watch Layer Control has been updated to include 3 new settings

With this new setting the selected aircraft will be followed and kept in the center of the screen for the
entire flight if the setting is ON and the aircraft has been left clicked (highlighted white).
If a flight is left clicked in the list of active aircraft, the aircraft will always be centered in the middle of the screen no matter if the setting is on or off, but it will only be followed if the setting is on.
By default the feature is set to OFF

This setting allows you to choose whether you want the system to zoom in on a chosen aircraft or not.
You can select the level of zoom by entering the settings button. By default the zoom level is 5, and the feature is set to OFF.

To avoid Labels being stacked on top of each other in congested areas, it is now possible to toggle between all labels being shown or not. If the setting is OFF you can see each aircraft label by hovering the mouse curser over the aircraft up to and including zoom level 5. By default the feature is set to OFF.

The icon for Notifications has been changed.

The settings menu for Notifications has been moved to its own Menu line.
At the same time the user now needs assigned access to create and edit Notification events. This access can be granted by contacting Airsupport Support department.

In the Great circle settings under Layer controls, it is now possible to toggle the Great Circles for all active aircraft.

• The platform on which the site is built has been updated to latest version.

• The font in the Notification tray has changed, so a higher number off notifications are visible.

The Flight List in Flight Watch has been changed to a new type that can be moved around.
Filter is found by clicking the blue triangle.

The option of moving aircraft has changed into a generic action button, symbolised by 3 dots.
It will only show if the option is available at the present time e.g. if the option is ‘blank’ then the action can not be performed such as when an aircraft is flying.

Some settings for individual features have been moved to be in more logical locations.
For instance, UI settings (shown below) has been moved to the settings symbol in the Flight List under the Flight Watch page.

• Notifications for tracking-started/stopped, take-off, landing are now only published to the UI (and email) once.

• Link from Flight List Overview to CrewBriefing has been introduced.

•The opacity of the FIR labels has been adjusted.

The flight list overview now links to CrewBriefing. You can show the specific flight in CrewBriefing by clicking the option button and pressing ‘Show In CrewBriefing’.

• The opacity of helicopter on ground has been changed so it is more visible to the user if the helicopter is airborne or on ground

Tracking started and tracking stopped events will no longer show up in notifications unless
Specifically configured in the Rules Configuration site.

Landing events are received twice. A fix will come soon.

Small improvements to the UI

Most improvements are technical changes that are transparent to the user, but a few of them are visible in the UI.

•  Renaming of the Flight List fetch tool tip to ’Update’

•  Map Controls in Post Flight are added

•  Adding of the “Connect tracked positions” option to Post Flight

•  New default setting for precipitation layer, ‘Animated Radar’ set to off

•  Changing the aircraft default label on the Flight Watch map to ATC ID instead of Tail No.

Flightlist collumns can be sorted now.

A new list with Takeoff and Landings has been introduced.
