Object reference not set to an instance of an object error

In very rare circumstances an error labeled “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” could appear in your PPS flight planning system and you are not able to continue with routing.

This could be do to various conditions, and normally it is due to the communication to our route server from your workstation, either due to slow connection or a temporarily outage of the server. Another possibility is you have entered an ICAO airport which is not recognized by PPS at that moment.

Solution:

• Initially wait a few minutes and restart PPS and the connection should be re-established (depending on your network conditions)
• Change network on your workstation to a cell phone, as it might also be your IT policy (whitelisting of our services) that is preventing the access
• Use an IATA airport code instead
