Write Message module

Users with the appropriate rights can send messages to different users as part of the briefing package. The targeted users can be defined in the write message window, see the next section for more information. There are two types of messages, normal and important.

  • Normal message:
Can be opened manually from the CrewBriefing Flight list and can be added as part of the Briefing package
  • Important message:
Must be read before the briefing package is accessed and will be included as part of the briefing package.

NOTE! It is not possible to write a message directly to a refreshed- or recalculated flight. If you want to write to a recalculated flight, you need to write the message to the original flight plans.

Message Window

There are two ways to create a message, either by clicking the pen next to a specific flight in the flight list or the Write message main tab.
Using the pen in the flight list will open the Write message window with the specific flight already selected as receiver.
Clicking the Write message main tab will open the same window, but without any selected recipients.
You can create and link a message to several single flight parameter types (Single Parameter mode) or to combinations of parameter types (Combined Parameters mode).

When more than one target is needed, a group of parameter items can be selected using wildcards:

#(Hashtag): The hashtag is placed at the end allowing all alphanumerical endings available. Unlike the asterisk, the hashtag can be replaced by more than one character.
