Manage Weather Charts Selection

The user can set up several preselected wind charts to be included in the briefing package.

It is possible to select charts for:

  • Up to 5 flight levels higher than planned flight level
  • Up to 5 flight levels lower than planned flight level
  • Up to 5 times: 3 hours before STD, STD, Mid-route time, ETA and 3 hours after ETA
  • Wind charts forFL50, FL100 and FL180, which will be included independently of planned flight level

Until you have made changes on the setup page, default preselection of wind chart will be charts for planned FL and STD.

It is possible to preselect both route specific SWX charts and standard area SWX charts for 5 times:

  • closest to STD – 6 hours,
  • Closest to STD
  • Closest to mid-route
  • Closest to ETA
  • Closest to ETA + 6 hours

As the SWX chart cannot be interpolated and the only available times are 00, 06, 12, 18 UTC, the charts with validity time closest to the mentioned times will be selected.

Until you change the preselection of SWX charts, the previous selection is valid. It means that chart validity closest to STD will be preselected.

Standard Area SWX charts will be preselected for customers with this preference.

Short flight time

For shorter flights, the same chart can be chosen for the two or three relevant flight times, but only one of them will be included in the chart briefing.

Adequate Airport charts

It is possible to preselect Adequate Airport charts for planned flight level and the five times similar to wind charts selection options.
