Unusual or special characters in RMK or Dispatcher field

Special symbols, characters like : “ ( ) ^ % $ # / – are not allowed to be used in RMK18 field and also special characters can also impact in the Dispatcher’s field.

Solution

Correct your entries to normal and allowed characters in both fields and try to re-upload your flight.

Corrupt or faulty data on the current CB flight

In special conditions the data on your CB flight can contain faulty or corrupt data and then PPS cannot synchronize the flight properly.

Solution

Delete the flight on CrewBriefing if it is there.
Note: REMEMBER to open it in PPS from CrewBriefing before deleting this flight and a then a new will be uploaded once you press Upload to CrewBriefing again.

Upload again

Check CSV file crew.csv for long names

The maximum character length in the crew name in your crew.csv file is 25.
Even this specific crew is not used for the specific flight, this can cause this error while PPS is checking the CSV file:
An error occurred during upload to CrewBriefing: There was an exception running the extensions specified in the config file. —> Maximum request length exceeded

Data Editor => CREW

Solution

Reduce all your crew names which are above 25 characters to below this value.

Restart PPS and try to upload the same flight again
