How to change tail / registration?

Go to top ribbon Data in PPS, then below to Edit Aircraft Configurations. This will show the ac6/acx files you have in your PPS8 shared folder.

This is the main menu of the Aircraft Editor. The submenus are divided into numbers ranging from 1 to 28.
To tailorize an aircraft file it is mostly 1, 2 and 4 we need to edit and to edit the tail, press 1 and then the “Enter” button:

Change tail registration

Use the Enter key or keyboard arrows to move from one section to another. The section marked with red is the one being editable. Navigate down to Tail number and change the registration to the desired one.

Whenever you have made the change, you need to press “End” on your keyboard or press Enter until you are at the bottom of the menu. Then you will see the below message:

Close the window and you can also change the aircraft file name to the same name as the registration. Right click on the aircraft line and choose “Rename Aircraft” and then change the filename to the desired.
Note: The filename is only for information and will not have any influence on the tail number or other data in the aircraft file.

Restart PPS to reflect the new tail number in the system.
