How to add your aircraft file into PPS
Download your aircraft file
Go to our Aircraft Database Archive and download your specific generic aircraft file (called .ac6 file or .acx file in PPS X) – or if you have received the file via e-mail, download this file to your computer.
Find your Assets folder
Normally on local installations your Assets folder is placed here C:\pps8sharedfolder\PPS8\XXX – where XXX is your unique PPS account prefix. If it is a brand new PPS installation a default aircraft file labelled FA7X.ac6 is present in the Assets folder.
If the folder is not found here or you are synchronizing with Google Drive, DropBox, OneDrive etc, the Assets folder can be found by hovering your mouse over your Username in the PPS application.
Find your path in PPS Option (Users)
If you have admin privileges on your computer, a quick option is to start your “PPS Options (Users)” in your computer’s start menu as “Run as administrator”. Once opened, press the top tab called “Corporate Data” and then copy the path from here
Restart PPS
After your aircraft file is added to your Assets folder, please restart PPS and the new file will be visible in your aircraft list under Data >> Edit Aircraft Configurations.
Now the file is correctly added to your system and ready for use.
