How do I install PPS?

It is fairly simple to install PPS on your Windows computer. The install wizard will guide you through the installation process.

Preparation:

• Have your PPS/CrewBriefing login credentials ready
• Make sure you are compliant with our Minimum Requirements for PPS
• Admin privileges on your computer and the “Temp” folder (C:\Windows\Temp) and SystemTemp (C:\Windows\SystemTemp) is accessible (granted permession)

Download PPS

Start downloading PPS from our website.

Please note some Anti virus software are very strong and strict due to Cyber Security.
As the PPS application installation software contains .exe files which is used for the installation process, some antivirus software will delete or blacklist some of the installation files, so please deactivate your Anti virus software temporarily during the download and installation process.

Start installation

The Installation Wizard is downloaded to your “Download” folder on your computer. Find the file and double click to start the installation:

The wizard will take you through all the steps very easily. All you basically need is to confirm the wizard may install the program on your computer and follow the steps.
Note: The following guide is for PPS X but the steps for PPS SP2 is identical

PPS must always be installed on the C: Drive using this path – do not change the path!

Select “Basic installation”

Choose where the default PPS shared data (aircraft files, OFP etc) should be added. Could be locally on your computer or on a shared drive like SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive etc.

Press next to initiate the installation:

To download and store the latest WX and Navigation Database the Install Wizard will open a new blue window when pressing the Next button.

The newest data is being installed now, it can take up to several minutes depending on your internet connection.
Please note: When a number starting with -LRR: 2xxxxxxx – is visible the download is successfull and the window will shortly close automatically.
If the dots (……..) continues for more than 5 minutes without -LRR: 2xxxxx – please check your internet connection or check if you have access for your “Temp” and WindowsTemp” folder (see Preparation checklist above). If no access, please have access granted and start the Installation wizard again

The Installation is now completed and a shortcut is added on your Desktop and also in the PPS tray.
