Auto Dispatch settings
The following settings are exclusively for the use of Administrators of the PPS system.
Scheduled Flight planning contains the settings for your fully automatic Auto-Dispatch program (you need to have bought the scheduled flight planning module to use this feature).
Access the settings site

The scheduled flight planning settings can be found through the settings manager or via this
https://settings.ppsflightplanning.com/pps/scheduledflightplanning.
If accessing through the settings manager, go to the Scheduled Flight Planning-fane, select account to be modified and press “Settings”. See figure to the left.

Adjust the settings
Below you can see the different settings for your Auto Dispatch or Scheduled Flight Planning integration.
Additional information is added below the picture to describe the different inputs.

Upload hours

Specifies the interval of how often flights on CrewBriefing should be refreshed with new winds (e.g. 6,8,10,20) meaning the hours prior to STD (MAX 22 hours before). Auto-Dispatch will use the selected route and flightlevel uploaded to CrewBriefing each time a new calculation is necessary for a flight.
Upload Filter

Allows you to enable a setting where you can either autocalculate all flights except the ones specified in the NoUpload data file or autocalculate only the flights specified in autoupload.csv. The dropdown menu allows you to select.
– None
All flights will be autocalculated and uploaded to CrewBriefing (if otherwise ready for upload)
– Include
Will use data and filters data from AutoUpload in the Data Editor
– Exclude
Will use data and filters data from NoUpload in the Data Editor
Optimize route hours

Auto-Dispatch will try to find the overall cheapest route based on Total Cost = Aircraft Cost + Fuel Cost + Overflight Cost
ATC File Prior STD (hours)

Earliest number of hours before STD that AutoDispatch must perform ATC filing. Default entry is blank or space. A space entry will disable this feature
Latest update minutes

Sets the number of minutes before any STD where Auto-Dispatch should stop calculating
– Recommended is 120 = 2 hours
Cargo difference

If the difference between the originally calculated flight and current data from the Flight List is exceeding a given number of units (lbs or kgs depending on what the aircraft uses) the flight should be recalculated and uploaded to CrewBriefing again
Zero Fuel Mass difference

If the difference between the originally calculated flight and the current data from the Flight List is exceeding XX units in Zero Fuel Mass, the flight should be recalculated and uploaded to CrewBriefing again.
Pax difference

If the difference between the originally calculated flight and the current data from the Flight List is exceeding XX passengers the flight should be recalculated and uploaded to CrewBriefing again.
Allow pax offload

This will allow the Auto Dispatch to offload pax if the aircraft is overweight
Allow cargo offload

This will allow the Auto-Dispatch to offload cargo if the aircraft is overweight
Allow underfuel

By default AutoDispatch will skip an under-fuelled flight. By enabling this setting AutoDispatch will allow under-fuel flight, and it will not be skipped.
Allow no winds

If this is selected then the autodispatch will calculate with zero winds if no grid winds are available in the system.
Allow DCT routes

This will enable the auto dispatch to use DCT routes instead of only airways
Allow Upload with

Sometimes the routing selected by PPS at the optimum will not immediately be ACKnowledged by the IFPS test system, but the routing could later be ACKnowledged after manual intervention by the IFPS controller.
In order to be able to calculate an OFP based on these routings that are not immediately validated, select:
– Valid Route
AutoDispatch will only use cheapest valid route
– Non-valid route
AutoDispatch will use the cheapest route valid or not valid.
– First valid route
AutoDispatch will use the first valid route from a list of the cheapest routes
Use Route from

– Company
Will only use Company routes from your own Route Data in PPS. If no Company routes available, the flight will be skipped.
– Route Service if no Company
If no Company routes are available for the specific city pair, routes from the Route Service will be used
– Route Service and Company
Routes from both Company routes and Route Service will be considered. Company Routes will have priority.
Clean Orphaned CrewBriefing flights

This setting only works in autodispatch.
It will automatically remove all flights on CrewBriefing that are not in the scheduled flightlist. E.g. if a flight is removed in the scheduling system, it will also be removed from CrewBriefing.
Enable Optimum FL for Alternates

Calculates Optimum Flight Level within limits set under [EDIT ROUTE DATA] when calculating route to Alternate Airport.
Next leg unknown – no tankering

This setting will only be used by AutoDispatch and only if the next leg is not calculated. Once the next leg is known, but not calculated, it shall be ignored and standard tankering rules must be applied (Minimum required fuel).
